Guest guest Posted February 27, 2000 Report Share Posted February 27, 2000 Apparently I never had a virus but someone else who has me on their addressbook does and they sent out a post looking as if it came from me. That post had a virus attached. My computer is OK and apparently I am not sending out infected posts. Somebody most likely out in the PCa cancer community does have a virus and the way the posts are coming through it looks like it is from me. The subject line says: " What my day has been like " and the attachment is called hidcam.exe. My name is all in caps and my middle initial is not on the header. Beware of any posts with this message line and this attachment. Somebody on the HAH list is most likely the infected computer because it came through with the HAH designation. This is what was explained to me by the programmer that I just spoke to. I will not send out EXE files and the other files I send out should be OK. I am keeping my virus protection up to date and I hope you all are too. Well I have learned more about computer virus in the past day than I ever wanted to know. Have a nice weekend.
