It is 1.62 points per serving, but if you eliminate the black olives and the oil it is a ZERO Point recipe. Jenn Ottawa, Ontario, Canada http://tlotc.dhs.org/jenn/ * Exported from MasterCook * FRESH SALSA Recipe By : Donna <rdv Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : 2 Point Done By Dotties Calculator Meatless Dishes Mexican Sauces Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper 3 small chopped jalapeno pepper 1/2 cup chopped onion -- white 4 green onions -- chopped 2 cloves minced garlic 14 ounces canned tomatoes -- 1 can crushed 2 small chopped tomatoes 1/2 cup sliced black olives 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon oregano 1/2 lemon -- just the juice Coarsely chop green pepper, red pepper, jalepeno pepper, onions, sliced olives, minced garlic, tomatoes into food processor bowl. Pulse to chop into medium coarse pieces. Add can of crushed tomatoes, olive oil, vinegar,lemon juice and spices. Pulse again to mix. Refrigerate at least 1 hour prior to serving but overnight is best. If you like it spicier add more jalepeno peppers, dried red pepper flakes, or Tabasco to taste. Makes 6 servings.
