Guest guest
I have never seen seitan canned before. At my local co-op, a health food store, and at my regular grocery store I have come across seitan in plastic tubs similar to packaged tofu, or in " shrink wrap " . It comes plain or flavored, in chunks or strips, etc. There is a " chicken style " that a friend of my prepared breaded and fried for me that was great. I've also enjoyed the barbecue style with rice. Hopefully the day will soon come that I'll make it myself - the ingredients are just hanging around in my pantry! It would be nice to have larger quantities of it for less money by making it myself! -- Has anyone tried a soymilk maker before? I saw one advertised at Kitchen Etc. for $99. I'm thinking of going over there to check it out. My son drinks about 32 oz (one box) a day. The price of soymilk is simply ridiculous around here. I buy so much of it when there are specials at the stores for $1 per box! It's usually closer to $3 a box. GV
