Add the onions; cook, stirring as needed, until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic; cook, stirring, about 1 minute. Stir in the tomatoes, okra, corn, broth, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring as needed, until the okra is softened, about 5 minutes.
