Guest guest
Dear Sanjay, Krushna, Donna, and List Members, I'm trying not to bother Krushna too much so he doesn't " up and quit " on us ;-)...I'm American, and that may be more of an American expression of showing respect...;-) Thanks Krushna. Donna is already on " overload " big time, and doing a terrific job, so we cannot expect any MORE from her. (Maybe we could 'clone' her ;-)) Anyway - many remain confused. I think what we need here is a " LIST of RULES " as to " what " applies and " when " - I'm working on it but my notes (like my brain) are scattered these days ;-) and my time is limited - like so many others... But I do think that in order to grasp the material Krushna is so generously offering each of us, (thanks Krushna) we HAVE to know the RULES and WHEN they are applicable - So based on that, I am searching for answers and uniformity on the following rules we have to date. Those who are posting seem very confused, and I don't know WHAT is going on with those who are lurking in silence. But I'm amongst the vocal - So here goes: Krushna said that Mercury denies marriage (in this chart) because even though it holds 6 points in ashtakavarga, it is posited in the 12th from House B (along with the Sun) - therefore it IS considered debilitated (along with the Sun). So my understanding is that a Mercury sub will NOT give the results for marriage. So... 1. Any planets posited in the12th from House B will NOT come forth to give results because they will be considered debilitated - is this correct? Now, here are more confusions for us to figure out...;-) In an earlier post Sanjay stated that: " THIS IS SLIGHTLY CONFUSING. THE ANSWER THAT I HAVE IS THAT PLANETS THAT HAVE MORE THAN 4 POINTS HAVE TO BE TREATED AS OTHER PLANETS WHEN THEY ASPECT THE MAIN UPACHAYA STHANS(US). THAT MEANS THAT THEY CAN GIVE NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE POINTS " 2. My understanding of THIS ruling is that all planets contribute positive or negative points when aspecting the main upachayas UNLESS they are lords of the secondary upachayas - THEN they will give NO EFFECT if their points are negative but WILL contribute points if they are positive . Is this correct? Then another confusion here - Sanjay stated: " THERE ARE TWO ASPECTS CONSIDERED. ONE IS TO THE MAIN US. THE SECOND IS TO ALL THE PLANETS IN THE CHART, IF THESE HAPPEN TO BE ASPECTED. THESE ARE MENTIONED IN ROW 16. ACCORDING TO THE EXPLANATION RECEIVED BY ME. TEH LORDS OF HOUSE D AN E, FOR A SPECIFIC EVENT, DO NOT CONTRIBUTE NEGATIVE BINDUS EVEN TO OTHER PLANETS IF THEY ASPECT THOSE, NOT JUST TO THE MAIN US. I THINK THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. " 3. So are you saying (Sanjay) that the lords of the secondary upachayas DO NOT contribute any " negative " points (only positive) to the PLANETS they aspect EITHER? This IS important if this is what you are saying, because I thought this rule was ONLY applicable to the secondary upachaya lords aspecting the main upachaya houses? Which is it? 4. ALL planets, if they aspect the main upachaya houses (A, B, & C - line 10 of the Worksheet) or even if they are the lords of the secondary upachayas, will NOT come forth to give results in their sub-periods, however, a strong samdharmi may replace the planet. 5. By " Strong Samdharmi " are we referring to a planet with12 or more Total Points? (line 17 of the Worksheet) Sorry to be such a pain, but if I am to understand this and become proficient with this System, I NEED (no - I'm not a Virgo, but I DO have 3 planets in the 6th ;-)) to understand ALL the " details " and each step (to date) thoroughly - otherwise we only end up building our knowledge on more confusions, do an injustice to the system, and the result will be inaccurate predictions... Thanks for your patience with us Krushna (IF you have any patience left. ;-)) Also, a special thanks to the Doc (Donna) for all the efforts she is contributing to this endeavor. P.S. Sanjay, I haven't given you any feedback on your worksheet that you so generously put together for the group because I don't use excel very often and therefore am not too familiar with it. So, although I entered the planets, I have no clue as to what to do next - so all I get is a sheet with two columns, and whatever I entered manually. ~Namaste~ Sandy
Guest guest
Dear Sandy, We are sailing in uncharted waters here and we have only one navigator and several ruddermen, so confusions are inevitable. I will try to explain what I understand below the points mentioned by you. Regards Sanjay - " Sandy Crowther " <sandy Thursday, September 07, 2000 2:55 AM Re: Time Out > > Dear Sanjay, Krushna, Donna, and List Members, > > I'm trying not to bother Krushna too much so he doesn't " up and quit " on us > ;-)...I'm American, and that may be more of an American expression of > showing respect...;-) Thanks Krushna. > > Donna is already on " overload " big time, and doing a terrific job, so we > cannot expect any MORE from her. THE MASTER WOULD BE SENDING MORE LESSONS CLARIFYING THIS FURTHER. > > Now, here are more confusions for us to figure out...;-) > > In an earlier post Sanjay stated that: > > " THIS IS SLIGHTLY CONFUSING. DO YOU GET ALL NINE SHEETS WHN YOU OPEN THE FILE? PLEASE TELL ME WHICH VERSION OF EXCEL YOU ARE USING. I FPEOPLE DO NOT HAVE VERSIONS WHICH SUPPORT MULTIPLE SHEETS, I WILL CONVERT THE FILE TO A SINGLE SHEET. > > ~Namaste~ > Sandy
Guest guest
Dear Sanjay, You wrote: > FOR A SPECIFIC EVENTS, LORDS OF D AND E DO NOT CONTRIBUTE ANY NEGATIVE > POINTS ANYWHERE IN THE CHART, WHETHER ON THE MAIN U.S. OR TO OTHER PLANETS. This I wasn't aware of either - (As far as no contribution of negative points to the other PLANETS.) > ONE POINT WHICH I NEED CLARIFICATION ON IS WHAT HAPPENS IF THESE HAPPEN TO > BE IN THE 12TH FROM B. I HOPE THE MASTER WILL CLARIFY THIS. I think that if these secondary upachaya lords are posited in the 12th house from House B, they will then be considered debilitated, and will NOT give results in their sub periods. So in essence, they won't contribute negative points, but they still won't be able to bring about the effect in their respective sub periods. That is my understanding anyway. Perhaps Krushna can clarify. > ARE YOU USING EXCEL 2000? DO YOU GET ALL NINE SHEETS WHN YOU OPEN THE FILE? > PLEASE TELL ME WHICH VERSION OF EXCEL YOU ARE USING. No - I am using Microsoft Office 97 (Excel 97) because that is the only version that is compatible with my husband's company and supports the software he uses (he has a laptop but uses my computer because it is faster when he's checking on work logs from our home). Does that mean I won't be able to get the program? I am finding Goravani gives the same results as Krushna, at least in my version, which is 2.26, by setting it up the way I had suggested to the group...At least so far I have no problems. But in Excel 97, I only get one sheet - the sheet where you enter the planets - and I am then at a loss as to what to do next... Thanks. ~Namaste~ Sandy
