As he walked out the station in London he saw a large advert for a West End show it said " Annie Get Your Gun -mpronounced SUCCESS " He shot himself. Ha Ha Ha >> I don't get it(?) I must be shorter than usual today. That joke just flew right over my head faster than a flash! . . sorry. Donna
Guest guest
Donna, It is a play on the two meanings of the word " Pronounced " in one case the main one used for his learning it means " the correct way to say somehting in a language " . The other meaning is used instead of " astounding " or similar words. More bluntly seeing the advert he thought that if ever he saw the words " Annie get your Gun " again he should " say " it as " success " . Phew that was a bit difficult - I hope you can now understand it. Peter
