Guest guest
Dear Peter, Yes, here in the United States there are Astrological Codes of Ethics also, and a decent and responsible astrologer/jyotishi would never irresponsibly disclose the time of a person's death - even if they " thought " they knew. And in this area surrounding death, it is my belief that you can never be 100% certain - as none of us are God, and HE has the ultimate say every time. However, on a different note, I have been confronted, personally, with death twice in my life and I'm still here. ;-) I could have died on both occasions, and many factors in my chart supported my transition at those times (in some System's much more 'clearly' than others) - but here I sit typing away at my keyboard. ;-) Also, many times over the years, several clients have approached me wanting to know my outlook on their longevity factor or that of a loved one, and I have been exceptionally responsible in those areas as not to disclose any information that could potentially damage their quality of life - even at the times when I wasn't at all sure that life would continue beyond a certain time frame. We have NO right to disclose that infoprmation to clients as we can NEVER be 100% sure and this is a potentially damaging area to do any " predicting " in. (If you remember Peter, I posted one of those charts from a client of mine (who had a brother who was " missing " ) on my List at SATVA for List Members to do as a Blind Analysis about a year ago - perhaps you remember. After doing a prasna and then his chart and transits on the day he disappeared, I was 98% certain that her brother had committed suicide and was no longer with us. However, the body hadn't yet been found, and it served no higher purpose, whatsoever, for me to disclose THAT information to my client. I could have been wrong, and our clients emotional well being always comes first. So I chose, instead, a very sensitive and compassionate play on words where I didn't feel like I was lying OR taking away any hope for his safe return. As much as the chart factors actually supported death in this case, (and he was found dead a week later - he commited suicide) it certainly wasn't my right to take away any hope for his family either. It served no higher purpose to do otherwise. Do you remember that?) So, yes, it is most definitely a very delicate area, and one I've spent some time looking into and certainly one we are occasionally confronted with by our clients... So my questions about longevity in this Astakavarga System were just the basic questions I would have searched for answers to in any System I was studying, as I have done in the past. And as I said earlier, I believe that death is a natural part of life, and I continue to remain curious about these factors and areas....not for reasons of disclosing this information to any future clients, because I could never justify that and live comfortably with my conscience, but instead, purely to satisfy my own curiousity and extend my knowledge and understanding about ALL areas of the chart in any System I study - not just the comfortable areas. ~Namaste~ Sandy > Sandy, > I don't know about the USA but when we take exams with the FAA in Australia > we have to sign an ethics agreement to cover things like this ie we should > never disclose the time of a persons death.
