Dear Krushna and List Members,

I'm a bit behind here with the Holidays and all, and desperately trying, as

time permits, to keep up with this List and all the activity going on ;-)) -

but I have a few questions about these calculations...(I may have missed

something along the way?)

Attached is my Worksheet for Ron's 4th House, (as House B for Father's

death) and my Tables radically differ from the totals Krushna sent us in

" Complete Study of a chart " ...

Now, I may be " rusty " here, I know I'm way behind on all the emails, but

these are worksheet basics, so please bear with me...The differences I get

(for the 4th House) are:

Mercury - 32 Points (Krushna has 28)

Venus - 32 Points (Krushna has 23)

Saturn - 23 Points (Krushna has 18)

Is there something I am doing wrong on the Worksheet - did I miss something,

or do I have the wrong figures entirely? I used GJ for calculations...I have

so many papers scattered around my desk (and desktop) that anything's

possible!!! ;-)) Am I using the wrong Worksheet version? HELP!!! I'm losing

it and I don't have time to lose it right now!!! I have more Christmas

shopping to do!!! ;-))

~Namaste~

Sandy

Dear Sandy,

I observed following mistakes in your work sheet.

1. You have added 9 points to mercury and jupiter, they are with 4 and more

then 4 points, these points can not be added. So less 9 points for Venus.

2. Mercury being in house D with 5 points , so it will get 5 points. net

effect less 4 points for mercury.

3 Mercury is having sight on Saturn, so it will reduce 5 points from Saturn.

Less 5 points for Saturn.

This will give all the points similar to mine.

Wish you happy purchase for X Mas.

Dear Sandy,

I am enclosing the worksheet for Argee. The points tally with what Krushnaji

mentions. Please see if you can open this. It is Excel 2000. I do not know

if you still have 97. If you do, please tell me and I would send you the

version in 97.

Dear Sanjay and Krushna,

Thanks Sanjay for the enclosed Worksheet (I finally invested in Office 2000

so it opened fine - Thanks!) and Thanks Krushna for the corrections...(Haste

makes waste and I do know that! ;-))

So in my frantic rush to catch up with all the emails, and try to stay on

the 'same page' as everyone else, I completely overlooked the obvious 7th

house aspect of both Mercury and Venus on Saturn...Thanks!!! The numbers are

now correct. ;-))

Sanjay, about Line 8b on the Worksheet - Are you going to leave it as an

automatic 5 points or change it to allow insertion of the correct values for

each chart? The reason I ask is that even though Krushna says it won't

matter much, giving a point total difference of 1 to 3 points - if two

planets are running neck in neck, this could be the tie-breaker and give

more accurate predictive results.

Also, if you leave it as is, will manually entering the correct values

disturb the accuracy of the current program? Thanks Sanjay.

Dear Sandy,

I am enclosing the corrected sheet. You can't enter points manually for D or

E planets as these are calculated points and I have protected cells where

calculations are required. If you or anyone else uses this sheet, you can't

mess up the formulas so hopefully everyone should be able to use it without

much worry.

Dear Sanjay,

Thanks!!! This is GREAT and just what I wanted!!! (Must be a " natural "

reflection of all those planets in my 6th - ;-))

I just tried it out on a chart with planets in 7b, with more than 5 points,

and the Worksheet now reflects their exact numerical equivalent rather than

an automatic 5 - Just what I was looking for!

Thanks for all the work you've put into this to make it an exact and easier

calculating engine for all of us - I certainly appreciate both your time and

efforts!!!

Dear Sylvia,

Visti made the formulas for rows 16a to 16d. While I can enter these again,

these do not take care whether the aspecting planet is lord of D or E. I

will try to put this in at a later stage. In the meantime, I suggest you use

the sheet that I addressed to Sandy.

Dear Sanjay,

Could you please make the worksheet so it calculates 16a through 16d

automatically like before. Thank You,

Sylvia

Dear Ron,

I don't think so. The formulas are not that complicated. If you check these

out once or twice and you get expected results, then it is fine.

Dear Sylvia,

I usually clear as many colors as I can. Can you give me cell references?

That would make it easier for me.

Dear Sandy and Ron,

I have decided to number corrections and I am now enclosing what I call

version 3.0. It has some unprotected cells. I have made some unprotected

cells next to the ranking of the planets so that the planets can be entered

manually when 2 or more have the same points. This takes care of Sandy's

point.

Ron, Row A in the master sheet is now unprotected so that you can enter the

name and other data of the person.

Thanks for V3.0. I notice that rows 15 and 16 are no longer

seems a waste of time when it is so easily done by the formaulae.

Any chance of putting this back in? Better still how about

upgrading (Donna's? spreadsheet shown with the Lessons.), which

is somewhat more detailed. I think all that needs adjusting is

the formalae for line 8b (where points exceed 5), and blocking

of the Moon column 5a to 5c so that points cannot be entered as

Moon is never considered malefic.

If the blue cells can be locked - fine, but if this proves a

problem I think we now all realise that you shouldn't enter in

these areas and we could get by without locking. Thanks for

all your work and imput

Dear Peter -

I too will be waiting anxiously for the "present".

I have also been trying to have a look at your version 3 worksheet and although I like Ron prefer a more automated worsheet I was able to use it without problems. Howevber I was unable to understand what the summary page was all about and also I wasn't quite able to fathom the Basic page where it showed the Natural and Functional karakas - what are the numbers and houses at the side all about??.

I am currently re-doing Sanjay's worksheet so that it looks similar to the previous one that I put in the files (vers 1.2). The Basic Page is only his rough version of what I already have in the current worksheet. Mine just looks prettier (hee-hee). The Summary page, I'm pretty sure is still in revision from the looks of it as it doesn't do anything important as of yet. But I'm sure it will soon.
