Guest guest
Dear Sanjay - Actually, I have set the view to 75% because I was working on the formulas. You can expand it to 100% or even more to suit your viewing pleasure. That would be fine, thanks. > Tell me the information that you would like from the basic page and I can make another sheet which takes this as an input. I do not want the basic page to be open. I was just thinking along design purposes that's all. If you prefer it not to be open, then I can respect that. >Until I figure out a better way, I would otherwise have to provide seven rows multiplied by 3 in the master sheet and that would make it big! I guess that's why the Excel sheet itself has its limitations unless you can learn Visual Basic and program it into the sheet that way. Then you can hide all the calculations behind the scenes and simply present the input information functions. >Actually, the extended lines are for you to make judgment about planets being good for different houses. You can also make notes on this to keep this as a summary printout rather than carrying the sheet for all 12 houses. OK, this is nice to know as it looks as though it's there for a cacluation purpose other than something to be written in by the user. Guest guest
Dear Donna, >I was just thinking along design purposes that's all. If you prefer it not to be open, then I can respect that. Oh, there is no problem with that! Actually you are right. It is a bit of a hotch-potch at the moment. >I guess that's why the Excel sheet itself has its limitations unless you can learn Visual Basic and program it into the sheet that way. I have not had the time to study visual basic. I am sure a professional programmer would make a lot more efficient job of it. Until we find one who is willing to do it for free, I suppose we have to just live with it. Sanjay
Guest guest
Dear Sanjay - True. But you know that I am not a programmer. And neither am I, in that sense of the word, BUT we can call ourselves "developers" because we can make programs to suit our needs when it calls for it, inspite of our lack of programming knowledge. I have not had the time to study visual basic. I am sure a professional programmer would make a lot more efficient job of it. Until we find one who is willing to do it for free, I suppose we have to just live with it. On the contrary, I think you're doing an excellent job Sanjay! I, more than anyone else, knows what you have to go thru, in order to put together a working and accurate program on the Excel sheets. It is very tedious, repetitive, and sometimes exasperating work, taking ALOT of time and concentrated effort, writing up a program from scratch like this, but that is the challenge and therefore the fun of it. But when it's done and it looks and works just like we wanted it to, THAT'S the thrill of it! So don't ever feel like your efforts are not enough as you are very much appreciated on this list by all of us! God knows, I don't have half the brains you do when it comes to all the calculations that need to be done here with the aspects and such. I admire you for that. Keep up the good work and if you need any re-designing work, I can always handle that end of it for you. Donna
