Guest guest
Dear Krushna - I have tried to down load both the programs, successfully down loaded. your file is in zip format or so. unable to go ahead. It will be of great help for me, if you give me step by step instructions. I have much curiocity to work on those files. OK. If your file is in zip format, that means that there is more than one file in the bunch that is being downloaded and everything gets compressed into one packet until it's ready to be unzipped at your end. In order to do this, you need a WINZIP program. But in order to even make it even easier for you, since I only have two files in my program and one of them is very short, which enables you to automatically open my program when you click on the icon, I will download them to you separately. This way they will already be in their unzipped form and ready to go. All you have to do is to make sure you have the both files in the same directory, so they can find each other. You can make a folder called KRUSHNA and then put them in that folder if you want, so that they are together. You will be able to see my file because it has a big red icon on it that will stand out. The other file is called AUTORUN. Once you have these two files, you can place the red icon on your desktop (this is the main screen that you see when you start your computer) by doing the following. 1. Click on the START button (this lies on your desktop screen at the bottom left corner) 2. A menu will pop up. One of the choices wil be SETTINGS. Click on it. 3. Another menu will pop up. Choose TASKBAR & START MENU and click on it. 4. A taskbar window will pop up. At the top of the window you will see two tabs. Choose START MENU PROGRAMS. 5. Click on ADD. Now this is where it may get tricky for you. You have to know what directory you downloaded the files into, or where you dragged them to make a new folder, whichever you decided to do. You can use the BROWSE option where you see the command line. This will allow you to search thru your directories until you can find the directory where your files are. Once you've found the KRUSHNA folder that you created, you can open it to find your main program file with the red icon. Click on this and it will appear in the command line in the window. 6. Once you have the file, click on NEXT. This will take you to a list of program files that appear on your main program listings. Go to the very top of this list. It should say DESKTOP. If if doesn't you haven't gone up far enough. Use the right scroll button to push it up the the very top. Click on DESKTOP. 7. You will see your file in the command line and can use that name to designate it or pick another name. Then click on FINISH and you will see your red icon magically appear on your desktop! You can then open it anytime you want to and minimize it so that it can pop up on top of the Excel program at the same time. When you want it to sit at the bottom of your tool tray, all you have to do is click on the MINIMIZE button at the top right hand corner of my program. It's not as complicated as it may sound and after you do it a few times, it's very simple. I will download you one file in one post and another file in a second post. Just look for the name of the file that you should see at the top of your mail and remember where you're downloading the file to! That's the most important thing. If you can do that then everything else will be a breeze. If you can do this I will show you how to use a WINZIP program later. Have fun and let me know how it goes! ) Here's the main program file. The second post will be the small file. Donna
