Dear Sanjay, Krushna and Group -

So if we are all getting different values, there is going to be mass confusion here and we are all going to go nuts! J For this venture to ensure any level of success, we need to ALL be on the same page.

For Krushna, Donna, and Peter… to avoid confusion, we should probably number these exercises. Like say this Queen is “Exercise 1.†The next will be Exercise 2, etc.. Just a suggestion…J

I am in total agreement here about the worksheet. I got most of Sanjay's same totals, except for Saturn which I understand has to have some sort of calculation because of the 12th house lord adjustment, but I can't figure out how he comes up with this total. My total was 43 and his was 31. That's a difference of -12 points that should've been subtracted in row 16e, but I can't figure out how he came up with that amount, unless I'm wrong about this too. Alot of this confusion in the worksheet also has to do with not reading the instructions at the beginning, which caused me to put certain planets in on the template portion when I should've left it blank. I didn't know this until I read the instructions again. So initially it will be a matter of remembering a few rules until we all get used to using the worksheet constantly, but once these steps are implemented correctly, everything else should automatically come out correctly. I would also suggest that everyone take advantage of the Upachaya program that is in the FILE section and use it on top of the worksheet as an advantage to seeing the Upcahaya chart placements correctly as well as the bindus in each house. It makes the procedure extremely easy to figure out.

So for starters, let's call the Queen chart Exercise 1, as Sandy has suggested and this way we'll be able to keep track of these study charts.

Thanks -

Donna

Dear

Sanjay,

Could you

please post your “Basic” worksheet on the Queen so we can see if we are all on

the “same page” and if we aren’t – “why” we aren’t?

The reason

I am requesting this is because my planetary calculations/positions are the

same as yours, but some my worksheet values are quite different from yours. I

also am thinking that perhaps many list members are very confused because the

worksheet has been changed a number of times, and some members, myself

included, haven’t been able to keep up to snuff on the corrections/additions to

these amended worksheets because of other commitments. So if we are all getting

different values, there is going to be mass confusion here and we are all going

to go nuts! J For this venture to ensure

any level of success, we need to ALL be on the same page.

For Krushna,

Donna, and Peter… to avoid confusion, we should probably number these

exercises. Like say this Queen is “Exercise 1.” The next will be Exercise 2, etc.. Just a suggestion…J

~Namaste~

Sandy

http://www.jupitersweb.com/

Respected Krushnaji.

I get the

ascendant as 29 deg 34 min Sagittarius and Moon as 20 deg 18 min

Cancer. If this

is correct, then the points of the planets for various

events are as

follows:

1. Marriage 7th

house - Sun 29, Moon 20, Mars 25, Mercury 10, Jupiter 30,

Venus 12 and

Saturn 31.

Ascendant lord

and 7th lord are 2:12, Sun lord and 7th from Sun lord are

also 2:12. Moon

dispositor and the dispositor of the 7th from it are 5:9,

and Venus dispositor

and the 7th from it are 6:8. By and large, it does not

speak well for a

happy union. Venus is samdharmi from Saturn, being in the

4th from it.

However, it is also the 12th lord and is the 6th strongest

significator. It

is associated with Jupiter. Is this association sufficient

to negate the

lordship of 12th? this is the only reason that I can think of

which would give

marriage in the sub period of Venus.

2. Death of

father - 4th house - Sun has 26, Moon 5, Mars 8, Mercury 13,

Jupiter 25,

Venus 14, Saturn 39. The 12th lord is Saturn which is also the

natural karak

for the 4th house. The 12th lord aspect Mars. Mars also has a

malefic aspect

on the 9th house meaning suffering for father. So it seems

reasonable to

expect death of father in the sub of Mars.

3. Coronation -

10th house - All planets are strong. Saturn is lord of E

with 44 points.

Sun is lord of 12 with 21 points. Mercury is D lord with 18

points. Rahu is

in the sign of Mercury so is samdharmi to it. Coronation in

this period

makes sense but why not in the sub of Jupiter which is samdharmi

to Saturn?

4. Birth of son

- 5th house - I could not see why it should have taken place

in the sub of a

planet with only 7 points (Venus.)

So, respected

Krushanji, your clarifications on how to interpret this system

are very much

required.

Kind regards

Sanjay

Dear Donna, Sandy, and list members

In the 7th house, Venus is the lord of 12th from B. Venus is in the 4th from

Saturn and under normal circumstances, it would contribute 12 points.

However, in this case it would not. That is the difference that you are

getting Donna.

I had posted a new version of the worksheet on the list several days ago.

That one had a small error and immediately after I posted the file, I put up

a message about this error. The message cam through but the file never did!

So, to avoid this problem, I have uploaded version 4.08 with Elizabeth's

details in the files section. Please download it from there. If any one has

problems, please let me know and I would send it as an individual email

attachment directly without going through the .

This version is completely (almost) automatic. You just have to enter the

data on the basic sheet. All 12th lord adjustments are made automatically.

Aspect values are also automatic. The only thing is that Krushnaji says that

numeric values do not have to be adjusted if Sun or Moon happen to be 12th

lords. My worksheet does not discriminate between these and the other

planets and deducts points whenever these happen to be 12th lords. I would

correct this in a later version but in the meantime, there is a row left in

the sheet for each house where you can make corrections for it.

Please let me know in case of any problems or errors.

Regards

Sanjay

KRUSHNA shows a figure of 35 reduced to 28 after deleting the

points due to the 12 Lord's aspect. The new version of the

spreadsheet shows 15 - which is a vast difference. There are

many other discrepancies. Any suggestions?

Ron,

Check it out yourself. Jupiter gets 5 points each in ABC making 15 as the

basic strength. It has Saturn in the 4th from it and under normal

circumstances, would have got 8 points from it as this is the total for

Saturn in ABC. However, for the 7th house, Saturn happens to be the 12th

lord, so these points are not to be added.

Jupiter does not aspect A, B or C so it does not contribute any points to

its strength. It is aspected only by Saturn. But it can't get any points as

Saturn is 12th lord. So its strength remains at the basic 15.

Do you see any flaws in this?

I have put Saturn under Jupiter and Jupiter under Venus for 4th house

points. If you like, I can send the worksheet as solved by me for you so

that you can compare where the mistake is. I think my worksheet gives

correct results. If you find any mistake, please let me know as there are so

many formulas that some error might have got in. But before you ask me for

the points, please verify the points that you get by following the simple

manual logic.

Ron,

Did you check this and does it bear out?

Re: Re: A Exercise ATTN: SANJAY

Thanks for V4.08. It is fantastic and a great tool for slow

One thing I noticed is that when comparing the various house

totals in the 'Sarva and Summary Tables' on this new version with

the example of my chart given in the Lessons under 'Complete

study of a chart', I note there are considerable differences in

the figures. This confuses me. I don't know whether there

are bugs in the spreadsheet, or whethe the Lesson figures are

incorrect. Take for example my house 7 result for Jupiter,

KRUSHNA shows a figure of 35 reduced to 28 after deleting the

points due to the 12 Lord's aspect. The new version of the

spreadsheet shows 15 - which is a vast difference. There are

many other discrepancies. Any suggestions?

Ron,

Oh, I wasn't defending the sheet. It can have some errors and I will sort

these out when I get to know about them.

I see your point about what you wanted Krushnaji to do. Of course, we would

all be happier if he spends more time with us.

About the rank, Excel rank function gives the same rank for equal points. I

haven't figured out how to correct that yet but I have removed the

irritating #N/A which used to appear for equal points in the previous

versions of the worksheet :-)
