Guest guest
BEAUTY OF THE SELF What is more beautiful my friend than the self All the beauty of creation belongs to her From the misty dawn to the golden dusk From the foam decked waves to the majestic peaks All lay out their beauty for her The eyes of a beloved, The embrace of passion, The glory of a victor, The recompense of leisure, All for her grace The first cry of birth for her The last sigh of death Who is there in creation More important than you dear self Your beauty knows no bounds Even nature has a difficult job imitating you Your perfection nowhere to be found Your peace unsurpassed Under the yoke of opinion struggle the burdened Who have eyes only for the fractured Diktats of their minds Who trade your unending bliss For petty distractions Time like a baby suckles your left breast Form, like a twin suckling your right The milk of thoughts you feed sustaining them May I your eternal child be one with you again
