Reading and comtemplating the words of sages is recommended by many spiritual teachers. I post these as offerings to those who may be interested. I would like to hear from others in this group. If these postings are unwanted, then I will not offer them anymore. Just was "wondering" why the words of other Gurus are necessary when we "met" Sri Ramana Maharshi. But,if iam truly established in who am i,these quotes may be less interesting for me.But,Richard please continue your good work.I enjoy your posts. We are blessed with Sages who have expressed the nondual truth for thousands of years. Reading, reflecting and meditating on their words turns the mind within and deepens practice. It also helps us to see the truth within. My teacher, Nome, says, " How can you knows is something is true? If it agrees with what the ancient sages taught, If it agrees with what contempory sages teach, If it is reasonable, And if it is your own experience, Then probably it is true. " So reading the words, contempory and ancient, aid the seeker in knowing the Truth.
