Guest guest
Nome From Mandala Five of Self-Knowledge Discern the Nondual, And the dual is not. Discrimination and renunciation Of what is unreal Do not create a dualism, For how can the release Of what does not truly exist Make a dichotomy? Discrimination and renunciation Cause one to realize The blissful, one Indivisible Reality. To discern the real as real And the unreal as unreal Is wise discrimination. When so discriminated, There are not two, For the real alone is And the unreal never is. This is understood By the seers of Truth. To experience Reality, Discriminate between The real and the unreal. The unreal is objective, dependent, multiple, Transient, changeful, sporadic, and of form. The Real is nonobjective, nondependent, nondual, Eternal, immutable, continuous, and formless. The Real knows the Real. The unreal, being unreal, does not know. The Nondual is known by the Nondual; The Nondual does not know the dual. The dual does not know the Nondual And does not know itself. Between the Nondual and the dual, No contention exists, For the Nondual ever is With nothing else with which to contend, While the dual does not exist. The nondualist is the Self, With no ego, no " I, " No jiva to call himself, And abides in the hearts of all. The dualist, with seeming jivahood, Simply does not exist. Only the Nondual in you can Discern the Nondual. --------------------------- Not two, Richard
