Guest guest
Dear Friends, The first of Buddha's noble truths is that there is suffering. We see that playing out on the global stage as well as our personal lives. In Myanmar, the nonviolent demand for freedom led by the Buddhist monks is being crushed with force. The same scene repeats itself in different countries at various points in history. After Buddha's enlightenment, he created his sangha. Many teachers either create a sangha or attract one and in case of some like Sri Ramana, a sangha spontaneously grows around them. The true and pure sangha (the spiritual community) is a very powerful force and phenomena. It may appear to be outside us but it is really our own mental atmosphere which continually blesses us and embraces us. In this world where the human condition of suffering results from uncertainty, fear, anger, greed, and the desire to dominate others, the messages of sages is worth repeating. Sri Ramana used to say that if you have found association with good people, what else do you need? Who are the good people? The qualities of good person are described by our sages. Those who are kind by nature and respectful of others and are aware that the life within is the same as life outside are the wise sages.Without hate, without fear, and blessing all, those who surrender unreservedly to the fate of their body saying " Not my will but thine O Lord " are the wise sages. They are not far away, but part of our sangha. We have access to them all the time if we turn within. Where are Buddha, Jesus, Rama, Krishna, Ramana, or other forms through which the Divine has manifested. Always with us as our mental atmosphere, our breath, and our own Heart. Blessings to the cosmos May all beings be free from sorrow Namaste and love to all Harsha
Guest guest
- " Harsha " " H_S " Sunday, September 30, 2007 2:40 AM The Sangha Dear Harsha your email is a necessary and welcome reminder that those of us who really have already found whatever they have sought have to live it from moment to moment. No exception allowed. What else do we need when we know by our inner Self that GD alone exists and everything else is a dream? This person suffering after Shoa/Holocaust came to an end after realizing by Grace that all what is happening is the above mentioned DREAM. But seemingly there are not many around, even in a Sangha like yours and mine, who live this inner knowledge. Finding people like above mentioned is a Grace. Thank you again for your efforts. And please, if it is possible for you, comment my mail. in Ramana michael
