Guest guest
Dear Ryan, You wrote :" what is the way to self-realization?Shri Nisargadatta Maharaj attained 'Self-realisation' by constantly concentrating on the "I AM" part of awareness, for three years. He says that he had great faith in his Guru, and hence he followed the instruction of the Guru sincerely. Asked what one should do for self-realisation, he says, seek with earnestness. ("Seek and ye shall find"). The belief in India is, one should have a Guru to attain self-realisation. Offcourse there may be exceptions. In India many different paths are available for spiritual advancement, like Bakthi, Jnana, Karma, Yoga, Japa etc. Many gurus strongly recommend 'Japa' - the silent chanting of a mantra with reverence- as an effective method. A Guru who is capable of bestowing self realisation on his disciple is known as 'Samrth Guru'.
