Dear Group,

One more week until we leave.

One thing I notice is just how many 'possessions' had burdened us. My

wife anb I spent several weeks clearing out our house, disposing of

each item - give to one of our kids? Put into storage? Sell? If so,

how, to or though whom, and 'do the needful.' Give away to friends or

Goodwill? Discard?

Even now, at the temple we have more than we need now or in India. We

have been going through the remaining items - planning what to pack,

what to wear at the retreat, giving away more things, selling some

more things (Carol's gold jewelry, etc.)

Dealing with the remained of our material objectd takes much time, and

prevents to some extent our ability to relax and fully take advantage

of living at the temple. We will have all this done by Wed, when the

retreat starts.

We have to make each day one where we can focus on inquiry and

realization of the Self. That is the direction of our lives.

It is clear from these last weeks how much is the distraction from the

material objects that make up Western life.

My desire is to be consumed by the fire of Siva-Consciousness, not

weighed down by some set of objects on which I proejct some imagined

significance.

Not two,

Richard

Dear Richard

My desire is to be consumed by the fire of Siva-Consciousness

did you ever try to learn by heart the "40 Verses"?

michael does it and this is GRACE

can only recommand it for your daily practice

to be ONE WITH THE BELOVED IS THE MOST INCREDIBLE GRACE IMAGINABLE

getting rid of all material stuff - look go in supermarket and you will find than more than 90 percent of all products are unnecessary - is a precondition for this Grace

as i live now in a terrible poor country HUNGARY which is like a cow milked by all other "member states of EU" i suggest that you prepare yourself to give best to be not-attached to everything besides THE ONE AND ONLY

having found a partner who is ready to share all this with you means for me that loving this One is like loving SELF GD how you want to call it

excuse my personal mesage but it is from the bottom of my heart

all the best for your spiritual journey

do not expect anything

say thank you for everything SELF GD sends you

it is always good even if it is catastrophic

hope you feel what i want to transmit

in ramanas Grace

Dear Michael,

Let these egos be consumed by the fire of Siva-knowledge (as show to

us by Sri Ramana).
