The Witness and pin

Hi Becky, and everyone,

I'll definitely have to make time to see this movie. We can't make

it to the Thursday showing, otherwise we'd use that as an excuse to

organize a dinner beforehand.

A comment I've heard a few times from various folks is that it would

be nice to be able to have a pin that veg*n folks could wear to

identify and greet each other when out and about. It'd be nice to

know if that person in front of you at the ATM machine was a

vegetarian! Sometimes I've seen cars in the BART parking lot with

veggie stickers and I wonder who they belong to... Sometimes when I'm

at the grocery store and the person in front of me just has a

vegetarian looking assortment of foods, I do wonder.....

Would you wear a pin like that? (As far as what the design is, I

don't have anything in mind...just curious what others think of the

concept)

New members to the UK Vegetarian Society get a stylish gold or silver

colored 'V' symbol lapel badge/pin. The V is the same shape as the one in

their logo -

I can't find my old one or a picture on their website, but it was really

nice and I had it on all the time.

I always thought it would be nice if sfvs offered something similar. Maybe

someone can contact them in to see if they'd sell them in bulk without

joining?

Take Care

I would! I just asked hubby, he would too. It always make me happy

seeing veg bumper stickers on other cars and people wearing veg

t-shirts. though I rarely see that in the south bay :(

tammy, thanks for creating this group and telling us about the dave

character, it was a fun place to sleuth...
