Guest guest Posted October 11, 2001 Report Share Posted October 11, 2001 Here's another good reason to go vegan: According to a New York Times service article printed in today's Chron, (page A-14), one of Al Qaeda's best sources of funds is the honey business. The article says that his organization owns honey stores throughout the middle east, and honey is a food staple there. According to the article, American honey producers exported 1,800 tons of honey to the middle east last year alone. So, when folks buy honey, they support American honey producers who's products just might wind up in Al Qaeda owned stores, thus making money to support terrorism.
