Guest guest
Has anyone been here recently? Just curious, as I know they've been sponsoring Veggie Cook Offs that coincide with the WVD celebrations. Looking at my SFVS newsletter, the open house schedule for the year lists the last one as 11/3, two time slots 10 AM and noon. From their website (http://www.AnimalPlace.org) At an Animal Place Open House you can: ...hug a hog ...get a cow lick ...goof around with the goats ...caress a sheep ...visit the rabbits in Bunny Have ...meet Wilbur and Lulu the pigs, Diabla the goat, Eve the sheep, Howie the cow, and many others, including the new hens rescued from Buckeye Egg Farm Cost: $6 for adults & $3 for kids Looking at their literature list, they also have educational material, including comic books for kids. Has anyone seen these? Children’s book (ages 5-10): Animal Place: Where Magical Things Happen, by Kim Sturla ($6.00) Children’s book (ages 10-14): Sausage Patty, by Diane Allevato ($4.00) Comic book for teens about factory farming: The Internet: Anna Libbiator vs Carcass Corporation, by Kim Sturla ($1.00) Comic book about a pig for 7-10 year olds: Friends for Life: The Story of Oscar & Daisy (single copies free; see below for bulk orders), by Kim Sturla Comic book about factory farming for youngsters: Justice for all, by Kim Sturla ($1.00) Just FYI - Tammy _______ Get your free @ address at
