Hello everyone,

 

Big Welcome to all the new members!

I'm very impressed that our count is over 50 in less than a month! I

think it's super.

 

I encourage everyone to post their questions, news, announcements,

introductions, etc. Just about anything veg-related is open/on-topic.

Please be very selective regarding any posts of a commercial nature.

One time Announcements of new products or services are okay, but

repeated announcements about for-profit " fun veggie cooking " $30

parties, etc. are not. Fund-raising events for non-profits that are

animal or veggie related, reviews of veggie products, restaurants,

services, etc. are welcome.

 

Please, everyone, answer the polls! I will be the first to admit that

I am very curious as to who comprises our veggie community and the

interests/opinions we have, and the polls satisfy a tiny bit of that

curiosity.

The polls are open to anyone with a id (you don't need to be a

member to vote, you just need a id since will

use that to insure you only vote once).

 

There is a large part of our veggie/animal community that is not online.

If you are hooked up with those parts of the community and know about

events/etc., please share that info / post events to the online calendar.

 

Thanks to our friends at BAVRT, Contra Costa Vegetarians, and San Francisco

Vegetarian Society who have made announcements to their memberships

about this new online club. If you know of other groups that will do a

similar announcement, please contact me if you'd like some sample text.

 

Hope to meet many of you at the SFVS John Robbins presentation at 7 p.m on

Sat. 11/10 at the Goldman Center (3600 Geary Blvd/Palm across

from Coronet Theatre) and at dinner beforehand!
