Hi all,

I spend all day on the Internet as I work in the

media. I often run across some amazing articles, most

of which aren't covered in the mainstream or receive

very little coverage.

I'll continue sending veg news to , but would

also like to spread the word about mainstream news to

those who are interested. (I have a separate list

about women's issues.)

I send out a daily email list to friends who don't

have hours to scour the Web like I do.

Let me know if you're interested. I'll add you to the

list.

Here's today's:

deliberate.

" They know where we are located and they know what we

have in our office and we also did not get any

CNN Airport Network News Was Blocked by Airports - NYT

The network broadcasts news and features customized

for airport viewers, as well as portions of regular

live CNN news and other programs. However, said Edna

Johnson, a spokeswoman, there are deliberate policies

to shield viewers in airports from live news of plane

crashes.

Part of the rationale for blocking crash news, she

explained, is that people in airports are a " captive

audience " lacking " the ability to turn the television

off, " as they could at home, to avoid seeing

frightening images.
