I just want to thank Tammy for starting this group. Everything is

really well organized and the calendar in particular is GREAT. It is

so exciting to see how many veg*n events are going on and it sure

helps to keep it organized.

 

I also want to thank Elizabeth for opening up her beautiful home in

Alameda for future potlucks. We attended our first one in Nov and

had

a great time! I would encourage everyone to try to make it to one of

these potlucks. I've never seen so much great veg food in my life.

 

On another note, my husband just came home with some Silk " eggnog " .

It is FANTASTIC! and as far as I can tell vegan. We will definitely

be sharing this with the non-vegans at our family Thanksgiving.

Yes, I agree with kens_catwoman, Elizabeth's home in Alameda is beautiful

and I also had a great time at the November potluck. For anyone who missed

it, Elizabeth (aka Lizzy) is also having potlucks for the next few months

(see Lizzy's post on Thursday). Lizzy is a raw foods person, but most

people who attend the potluck aren't, judging by the types of dishes that

were brought. For those interested/curious, there will be a raw foods demo

and a dance lesson in the dance hall. Lizzy's home is a very inviting space

to share with our fellow veg*ns.

 

Thanks, also, for your kind words, kens_catwoman, about our new group and

its features. For the next costume potluck, you'll have to arrive in a Cat

Woman costume so we can see who you are :-)

 

On the topic of " community " , SFBAVEG will have a table at the Fund for

Animals party on 12/16 to promote SFBAVEG & veg*nism. We hope to meet many

SFBAVEG members there. If you'd like to help at the table, please e-mail me

privately.
