Lisa the Tree Hugger (#CABF01 / SI-1201) 19 Nov 2000 Eager to join " Dirt First " after witnessing their pro-vegetarianism demonstration atop the local Krusty Burger franchise, Lisa attempts to prove her worth by camping out in a giant redwood destined for logging. Meanwhile, Bart joins the workforce in order to buy a new game console advertised on television. -- I have in the SF Vegetarian Society library. #1 Lisa Simpson becomes a Vegetarian (thanks J, for the copy) #2 Lisa Simpson's future, she marries a vegetarian They are all great videos, kids and adult will enjoy watching. == Below are my ramblings..: This is what I'll do at family reunions: I'll casually play the above videos and also the " Diet for a New America video. " I've been leaving books and literature lying around the living room when they visit. Maybe it might catch someone's eye. Any good suggestions on getting people to be aware of the pros of being veggie? Cooking good veggie food for someone is great, but I have not been able to convince someone to stop eating meat. Any suggestions would be great. == Oh, for those of you who want to learn how to or to veg-sf, here's the info Send an Email to waste in the body of the email type veg-sf or veg-sf -- I get a lot of requests on how to do it. So pass the word. -- SFBAVeg now has 111 members in LESS than 2 months. Believe me, there's A LOT of veggies out there. I met a lady who's a jewish veggie for 30 years, but she doesn't socalize with veggie folks. I met her when she was gulping down a QUART of soy milk for lunch. (wow, even I can't do that) It wasn't too hard to guess she is a veggie. Most new veggies are smart and young ones. There's a HUGE group of punk rocker type vegans out there. (not to insult anyone) I look forward to meeting all the cool veggie folks out there! Have a great unturkey thanksgiving. It's very high quality and looks great full screen on my 21 " monitor. Drop me a line and we can figure out how to get it to you.
