What: Dancing, Vegan Food, Paddleboat races, Toys**, Gift Exchange (optional) When: Saturday, December 22nd, 2 to 8 p.m. Where: Lizzy's Landing, 633 Glenwood Isle, Alameda, http://www.lizzyslanding.com Who: all San Francisco Bay Area Veggies, their family & friends! Wanted: Musicians!!! Esp. guitarist.... **Be sure to arrive early if you'd like to play with the toys -- special tandem bicycles, antique Model A car, kangaroo bouncing boots, paddle boats.... Dancing in the Studio - non-marking shoes or snazzy socks. Salsa, swing, tango.. free lessons, too. Bring your favorite CDs to play in the jukebox. Food - Please bring finger foods or Christmas-y desserts to share - Please, vegan food only (enough for at least 6 people) with serving spoon , with autographed ingredients list in case anyone wants to know your cooking secrets or has food allergies. Please bring your own serving/eating utensils, plates, cups, etc. Vegan foods are purely vegetarian foods from plants or minerals (no animal flesh or animal by-products, or insects products/by-products such as honey, carmine, etc). Our Hostess Lizzy is a Raw Foods person and encourages living foods (cooked under 120 degrees) but all vegan foods (cooked/uncooked) are welcome. Fumie Sasa, Lizzy's professional vegan chef (raw and cooked), has offered to prepare food for any guest that doesn't have the time or interest to do so. She will make a gourmet dish, whatever you request, for a minimal fee. Her costs are affordable. Those of you who came to the last potluck in November will remember her great dishes! If you would like Fumie to make a dish for you instead, contact Fumie at sasa by 12/17 (please include phone number). Costs start at $15. Contest & prize for best food!!!! Who's bringing the Vegan " egg " nog? Your family & friends are welcome, including children. Just remember the backyard is on a lagoon so small children will need to be watched carefully. Gift Exchange (optional) - max spending limit is $10. Theme is " kitchen " . Use your imagination! For the exchange, all presents will be pooled. You may pick an already-opened gift ( " steal " one) or a new one from the pool. Limit on steals is 3 times per gift.
