The class is not only a cooking class but also teaches kids on safety in the kitchen: no running, turn off the stove, knife safety, etc.. The above skills are basic skills all kids should know to survive. Below are my ramblings on Berkeley. Berkeley Schools REALLY cares about their kids. No pesticides are allowed or sprayed near school ground. Now, isn't that great? Please pass this info to your kid's school. Some projects are not easy or free. They require grant money and dedicated people. The City of Berkeley is ahead of most city. All restaurants can not use syrofoam. Schools and everybody don't want to spend money on organic foods. If EVERYONE buys organic, prices will drop dramatically.
