One of the reasons why we chose as the host for this group was for its built-in chat feature. Chat is a fun way to communicate. The two times that we've had chat sessions scheduled, there have been problems. First time, only some people could get in, others could not; and we ended up using a back-up chat room that we'd set up. For the second time, we actually did use chat. During the session, their system response started to degrade from a disconcerting long delay between typing a message and having it appear to entire messages not showing up. Chat forums can be a wonderful way to have focused discussions or support in an interactive manner on a variety of topics - example: Q & A sessions for new veg*ns, how to travel veg*n, how to read labels, whatever! - or just general discussions on whatever comes to mind. In another club that I belong to, they host trivia games. Would you please e-mail me privately and let me know if you're interested in chat. If there's enough interest at this time, we will explore alternatives so we can try to have a more reliable chat system available for members.
