Guest guest Posted December 5, 2001 Report Share Posted December 5, 2001 Ants have begun their annual invasion into my apartment. Does anyone have any ideas about how to deter them? I've tried just about everything --keeping things clean, sealing up the holes where they come in (not very practical in an old apartment), peppermint oil, tea tree oil (my own idea, and they do hate it), citrus, cayenne, cream of tartar, pennyroyal, etc. etc. etc. I usually end up killing a bunch of them and I really dislike doing that, but if they start getting into the cat food and into my kitchen, it's a real mess.
