Guest guest
Legume, a vegetarian (not vegan) restaurant in San Francisco, needs more business. I recently had dinner there (they have a great spinach, tofu, warm mushroom vinaigrette salad) and the manager/owner - I'm not sure which - said they might have to shut down early next year - due to poor patronage. I'm not sure why they aren't too popular (considering Herbivore is nearby and is always brimming with customers) but I think their food is very good and would hate to see them close their doors. I'm vegan, but I think we should support veg (no meat) restaurants just the same. Legume is on 24th Street in Noe Valley - near Castro or Noe street I think. I don't know if there are any political reasons behind their unpopularity - I vaguely recall some kind of discussion about Legume on the veg-sf list - but I thought I'd spread the word about their possible closure if business doesn't pick up.
