Pre-Announcement for Valentine's Day Party & Help

Hi everyone,

1) Valentine's Day Party - let's have one! But we need help!! First, I

need a couple of good hands/good hearts to help set things right after the

party. If you've got a creative flair for decorating, that would be super,

too. And it's not really a Valentine's party unless we have opportunities

to meet our special Valentine; if you're single and interested in helping to

plan some fun activities for other singles, this is your chance! By the

way, the party isn't just for singles; couples, trios, families, friends,

etc. are welcome too! Party to be held evening of 2/9 at Lizzy's in

Alameda. If you can help make this party happen, please email me.

2) Rideshare/Carpool Coordinator - it would be *super* if we had a way to

organize ride-sharing to different events (like parties at Lizzy's in

Alameda, or to the veg fair in Santa Clara, etc). I know this is great for

the environment, good way to meet new folks, & saves everyone $/gas! There

may be some liability issues around this that we'll have to figure out first

(if you have any experience with this, I'm all ears...). Just thinking it'd

be an informal carpool system... Basically, say a week before the event,

everyone who is going that can offer or needs a ride would email a rideshare

coordinator who then responds to everyone what possible matches would be.

If anyone has experience with organizing or participating in carpools, or

would like to get some, this is your opportunity.
