Its sounds good to me :-) I just wanted to take a minute to introduce

myself and share a little about myself. My name is Landa, I live in

Fairfield (a native female Californian) I can't imagine living anywhere

else. To me the Bay Area is the greatest place in the Universe. Recently

I converted to Veganism after being a on-again, off-again Vegetarian for

most of my life. After spending a good portion of my life with what I

though was irritable bowel syndrome (excuse my graphicness :-) and then

finding out it was dairy products all along. I know that becoming Vegan

is the right choice for me, and will definitely be a lifetime

commitment. Not only for health reasons but equally for the prevention

of cruelty to animals. The Pros of being Vegan so far for me are, I feel

great, more clear headed, less body fat, more energetic and feel like

I'm doing my part to NOT contribute to the inhumane treatment of

animals. The Con's? Mainly how I am made to feel like a leper or weird

by my meat-eating family and friends. I guess its equivalent to what a

smoker feels, set apart from the rest, an outcast. I can live with that,

as much as I'd like to shake these people into becoming healthy Vegans,

I hold my tongue and try not to judge (I know its hard to erase a

lifetime of brainwashing).

Welcome to the list! We native Californians gotta stick together :-)

 

I'm curious where all of our new members have come from... (Vegans.. from

Vega???) There is a poll question on this, if you'd take a few minutes to

answer, we'd very much appreciate it. We do try to promote the list, and

knowing where you saw it helps us make our promotion efforts more effective.
