US: National Outreach to High School Students

Join Vegan Outreach and Viva! in a National Day of Leafleting High Schools

About Veganism on Friday, April 5.

 

Who: You! Everyone can do this.

Where: In front of a high school in your town

When: Friday, April 5

Time: Either when school starts or ends.

 

With what: VO and Viva! literature. It also might help to have a sign saying

something like " Ask me why I'm a vegetarian. "

 

Why: Students can be some of the animals best friends! With compassion in

their heart and a mind that is open. We want to help them go vegan! With

your help, we can reach thousands of students across the country on this

National Day of Action.

 

Keep in mind you will probably have to stay on public property, so pick a

school close to a public sidewalk where students are likely to walk home

such as in a city or small town.

 

We find that many times students are the ones who speak out for animals in

the science classroom and at home with cats & dogs. We want to make sure

that we are there to help them make the connection between their love of

animals and the food on their plate.

 

As someone who went vegan in high school, I know how important it is to have

others nearby who will help you along the way.

 

For the students who are already vegan, we hope this will inspire them to

become stronger advocates for animals. For those who still eat animals, we

hope this will open the door to a more compassionate world.

 

Vegan Outreach can send you 100 *or* 300 Why Vegans.

Note: You aren't likely to need more than 100 flyers on this day of

leafleting. However, it costs VO the same to send 300 as to send 100. So, if

you think you will eventually use 300, order that many. If you don't, then

order 100.

3. Let us know at what high school you will be leafleting.

 

We'll make sure you get both the Vegan Outreach and Viva! literature.

 

Friday, March 29 is the last day on which we can accept orders for

literature.
