Guest guest
Hello friends, I've been diagnosed with advanced DJD (degenerative joint disease) in my neck, which caused me to miss a week of work earlier this month, and many trips to the doctor, chiropractor and physical therapist. The chiropractor and other health practitioner friends I know recommend that I take glucosomine and chondroitin. Today I finally went to Rainbow Grocery, planning to buy some, only to find that there is no vegan version of either of these, that they are de facto animal products. Can anyone advise me? I've been told that an element called MSM could be of some help (I would like to find some other verification of this); I already take that anyway (to help with allergy problems exacerbated by living in a moldy basement apartment). There were some herbal formulas at Rainbow that the sales staff told me were marketed as aids for the same ailments as glucosomine and chondroitin, but that anecdotally and scientifically, they had nowhere near the rate of satisfaction for helping, as the glucosomine and chondroitin.
