Just curious if anyone knows, as this is rather a bold statement to say it *only* contains grapes, and one would automatically assume vegan then. I'm not attending nor do I drink so I don't really have a personal interest... I'm just interested in how Millennium's chose to promote this. Cheers, Tammy " Perform a death-defying act.... Go Vegan! I'm not attending the wine event at Millenium but when I make my reservations for the Easter Brunch I'll be sure to ask about the wine. I'll let you all know what I find out. Guest guest
There is no guarantee that wine is vegan unless you ask the winemaker what is used in making it. The isenglass (tropical fish guts), egg whites, or other animal products used to " fine " (clarify) wine is removed before bottling, but, in my opinion, it's still not vegan unless it's fined with clay or other non-animal substances. In other words, buyer beware! - " Tammy " <meowthunk " Jessica Amezquita " <jessiquitaa; Friday, March 08, 2002 1:19 PM Re: [sFBAVeg] Fwd: Meet The Winemaker Dinner with Coturri Vineyards > MILLENNIUM'S MEET THE WINEMAKER DINNER --- Millennium Restaurant wrote: > His disdain for sulfites and other > additives is clear; he would > revel in having to label Coturri's bottles with > their contents.
