Guest guest
I found some great new vegan foods recently and thought I'd share the info just in case some of you didn't know about them. 1. Pacific brand vegetable broth: I usually make my own broth, but this is a good substitute when I don't have time. It can be used just as is for a quick, hot drink, or as a base for making any kind of soup you're in the mood for. I added left over brown rice and a handful of " Just Veggies " and the resulting soup was really good. Comes in an aseptic box. And it is not overly salted. 2. Nut Cream (aka I Scream): I found this at Whole Foods in San Ramon (top shelf of freezer). It is a frozen dessert, and a good substitute for the soy based ones in case you are allergic or something. The one I had was made from cashews. 3. Tofutti Tofiggy Fig Bars: Found these at Raleys. For anyone who used to enjoy fig newtons but can't find an acceptable vegan replacement, now you have one. And these are even better than the originals. 4. Yves Veggie " Meatballs " : These are very tasty and make a great hoagie. And they are low fat, too.
