Half-Year BirthDay Party/Spring Picnic 4/6/02

Hi all,

 

Welcome to all our new members! We are looking forward to good food & fun

with new & old friends at SFBAVeg's Half Year Birthday/Spring Picnic/Party!

 

Details:

April 6th, Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at Golden Gate Park, San Francisco,

CA - picnic areas with restrooms available (adjacent to soccer/polo area).

We will post a map showing the location in the next few days.

 

What to bring:

- vegan food dish to share (should provide 6 generous servings)

- autographed recipe of your food item (if possible, it would be great to

collect them and make them available to everyone)

- your own eating plate/utensils/napkins, your own drink, and any serving

ware needed (note: there are garbage cans in the park, but let's try to

limit the amount of disposables)

- games (board games, frisbee, etc.), announcements, etc.

- any two or four legged family/friends companions who are well-behaved

- blanket or chairs to sit on

 

Note: FYI, bringing alcohol to share does *not* count as a food item. You

are welcome to bring whatever beverages you like for your personal

consumption, and please remember to bring real food (vegan only) to share

with the rest of us. If you need help or some suggetions, please ask the

list or contact me privately. Feel free to " experiment " and " test " your new

vegan recipes on us :-)

 

Already thinking of what food we could bring... we have this awesome

marinated baked tofu that all our friends rave over.. plus this really great

pesto dip.. a yummy tofu cheezecake... gosh, getting hungry just thinking of

the possibilities!

 

RSVPs are not necessary but are welcome as we'll need to make sure we have

enough table space to hold dishes. If you've already RSVP'ed, no need to

send again.
