Guest guest
Dear Friends, It is that time of year again! March of Dimes WalkAmerica is just around the corner. The March of Dimes' annual fundraiser, WalkAmerica, will be held nationwide April 27th in the Bay Area. Since its inception, WalkAmerica has raised more than $1 billion for research programs that include shocking animal experiments, such as current studies on pregnant monkeys at the Oregon Regional Primate Research Center. Please help PCRM educate the public about the March of Dimes by distributing our flyers to WalkAmerica participants at the event in Oakland. We will be meeting at 7:45 am on Saturday, April 27th in the Lakeside Park area of Lake Merritt. Specifically, we will meet on the lawn in the park at Grand and Bellevue. This is across from the Bellevue-Staten, which is the tallest building on Lake Merritt. Some of you may be familiar with our annual protest at Fort Mason. This year, we are changing the venue. They are too ready to dispose of our flyers at the Ft. Mason event, so we thought we would plan a surprise attack at Lake Merritt! This is a very peaceful, informational protest. Parking is an issue here, there is on-street parking in the residential areas, but there are a lot of meters on Grand Ave. I am willing to help organize carpools. Please rsvp as soon as you know you can attend. And thank you for your help! For more information about March of Dimes-funded animal research, visit www.CharitiesInfo.org.
