Guest guest
World Week for Animals in Laboratories is quickly approaching! This year promises to be an eventful one, as activists from all over the West Coast converge in the Bay Area to take a stand against animal experimentation. On Saturday, April 20, from 10a.m.- 6p.m., Animal Rights Direct Action Coalition (ARDAC) will be hosting an anti-vivisection conference at the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists, 1924 Cedar Street (at Bonita) in Berkeley. Come hear experts and activists, including IDA's own Matt Rossell, speak out on vivisection, activism, and the notorious animal testing lab, Huntingdon Life Sciences. Join ARDAC and hundreds of activists from around the country again on Monday, April 22, for a march against Huntingdon Life Sciences collaborators beginning at 11a.m., at One Market St. in San Francisco. Then, on Tuesday, April 23, Berkeley Organization for Animal Advocacy (BOAA) presents " Beyond Animal Experimentaion at UC Berkeley, " a teach-in with IDA's own Erin Williams. This event begins at 7p.m. at 204 Wheeler, on the UC Berkeley campus. Everyone is also encouraged to join BOAA in a demonstration at Sproul Plaza on the UC Berkeley campus from 11a.m. - 2p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, located at Sather Gate Crescent on the UC Berkeley campus. On Thursday, April 25, join In Defense of Animals at the regional EPA headquarters (75 Hawthorne St., San Francisco) from 11a.m. - 1p.m. to protest their unnecessary and cruel animal experiments. Later that night, BOAA will be holding vigil outside of the Northwest Animal Facility in UC Berkeley. Please wear black clothing if you plan on attending the vigil. Then on Saturday, April 27, join the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) in a peaceful protest against the March of Dimes at their annual fundraiser, WalkAmerica, which has donated over $1 billion to research programs that include animal testing. Gather at 7:45a.m. in the Lakeside Park area of Lake Merritt, at Grand and Bellevue in Oakland. Please plan on attending any and every event you can. This is a great opportunity to fight for the millions of animals who are tortured for needless " experiments " every year. See you there! _______________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com
