Important Announcement regarding Sunday Safeway leafleting gigs

Dear Friends,

 

As I'll be gone for the next 10 days (which will include the next two

weekends), I've decided to CANCEL the Shameway leafleting gigs that had been

scheduled for Sunday, April 7th and Sunday, April 14th. Upon returning home

on the evening of the 14th, my plan is to expand the campaign to include

letter-writing parties, teach-ins, video screen-ins, and other

awareness-raising events and activities.

 

Over a post-leafleting dinner last weekend, Tammy L., Chris J., Rebecca J.,

Kelle K., an anonymous contributor, and I brainstormed through different

ideas on how to build momentum around the local Shameway campaign. There are

a lot of activists working individually, approaching store managers and

such, and this is very, very important, but we haven't cultivated an

identity in working together.

 

I would like to hash out ideas further, but I'm aware that would be

an inappropriate forum. If you would like to participate in an email

discussion group to ponder through ideas, please send me an email. I will

have limited access to email during my time away, and in fact, I can not

access my folders for veg-sf, ar-sf, and from the laptop that has

been loaned to me. However, if you are interested in being involved in
