Guest guest
Hi All! I went to In-N-Out Burger in San Ramon today and asked if they had veggie burgers. They said " yes, " but then explained that it did not include a veggie patty - so it's basically just lettuce, tomato, and a bun. This was a bit of a disappointment, since I can order a burger and then say " hold the burger " just about anywhere. The veggie burger offered at Burger King in San Ramon, however, includes an actual veggie patty (tasty, with recognizable vegetable bits) for $1.99. j9 j9 www.myrne.net

This is a good opportunity to introduce vegetarianism to the mainstream. If a big corporation like BK is trying to cater to the veg*n community, it lessens the freakish/outside-the-norm perceptions. And by involving such corporations more in the veg*n community, it gives them an incentive to continue. In a word: marketing. For example, if BK doesn't sell enough of their veggie burgers, they'll drop them and say it wasn't economically viable, and probably marginalize the veg*n voice because the dollars simply aren't there for them to bother to listen. But show them how much a market they're missing out on.... --eric.
