Hi there,

Wow, what an exciting proposition! My first recommendation was going to be

Fleur de Lys (for their separate vegetarian menu), but I see you've

mentioned that they are still closed.

There's been lots of attention on Roxanne's (gourmet raw cuisine;

415-924-5004) in Larkspur. I hear reservations are a must, and it sounds

like dinner for two with wine can set you back well over a $100. Perfect for

your budget!

My personal choice would be to head up to the French Laundry in Yountville

(707-944-2380) to experience Thomas Kellar's vegetarian prix-fixe menu (I

believe it changes daily). If you're vegan, you'll definitely want to call

ahead to make sure you can be accommodated, but this is one of the country's

top-rated dining establishments. If you go during an off-peak time on

Sunday, you may still be able to grab a reservation (I hear they're booked

on Fridays & Saturdays months in advance!). $100 won't get you very far in

Thomas' dining room, but $200 should close the deal. Whew!

Have a wonderful time.

Most sincerely,

Colleen Holland
