Guest guest Posted April 30, 2002 Report Share Posted April 30, 2002 Just sitting here munching on my Robert's American Gourmet " Veggie Booty " & thought I should just pass along to anyone who hasn't tried it how great it is...similar to cheese popcorn but with spinach & kale. I want to encourage everyone to buy it because it seems like TJ's drops every vegan food I get excited about there--I assume from poor sales. The other great food there is the frozen potato/soy chorizo taquitos--pretty fattening but yummy! I'm really mad at TJ's because they (at least Pleasanton) seem to have dropped Tofutti cream cheese--I also couldn't find it at Berkeley Bowl. It is so frustrating because on their website they make it in like 8 flavors & I am lucky if I can find it anywhere here (also the sour cream substitute.) It is pretty sad the lack of good health food stores in a supposedly progressive area like the bay area. Whole (Paycheck) just doesn't cut it for me. By the way, in San Luis Obispo they have 2 great stores; a tiny co-op that still manages to have a pretty good selection of foods & ok prices, and a bigger health food store with a great deli & great cheese substitute section.
