HSUS suggests that you make them take your name and address to show them

you're a constituent. It only takes a second to do this. I just say, " I'm

calling to ask Senator X to vote against the Farm bill that the House passed

yesterday. "

delivering good news, but I'm not, which is why I am calling on your for

more help!! The Farm Bill has come out of the " conference committee, " where

industry-influenced representatives and senators removed every

animal-friendly amendment before sending it back to the House and Senate to

vote again. Sadly, the House passed this new Farm Bill yesterday, and the

Senate is expected to vote on Tuesday May 7.

can't, it is a very, very sad day for the animals we are trying so

desperately to protect. These protections are no-brainers; we're not asking

for the moon!

switchboard at 202-224-3121, and ask for the senator. Please urge your

sentors to vote NO on the Farm Bill, as it is completely different from the

original Farm Bill we urged them to pass several months ago and contains no

protections for animals whatsoever.
