A Feast Fit for a Fiesta May's class takes advantage of the looming summer and all the entertaining we do -- in and out of our homes. We're focusing on finger foods, sandwiches, dips, pates, salads, and dessert that will impress friends and family alike. ON THE MENU: (In honor of the THREE-DAY weekend, we couldn't resist grouping the dishes in THREES) -Savory Sandwiches (Reuben Tempeh; Arugula and Potato & Seed Pate; Cucumber & Watercress) -Powerful Pates (Olive Pate; Potato & Seed Pate; Lentil Pate) -Delicious Dips (Homemade Hummus; Cannellinni Bean; Tofu Sour Cream) -Sensational Salads (Ensalada de Frijoles, Tabouli, Quinoa with Potatoes, Asparagus, and Pumpkin Seeds) -Chocolate Mint Cookies w/Chocolate Chips WHEN: Saturday, May 25th -- 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. WHERE: First Unitarian Church of Oakland -- Wendte Hall/Kitchen (Directions: http://www.uuoakland.org/directions.html) COST: $20 INSTRUCTORS: Alka Chandna of the Food & Social Justice Project is a seasoned instructor that has taught countless classes.
