This 43 minute documentary film is about a tough NYC construction contractor becoming an animal activist. Howard Rosenberg, a TV critic from the LA Times called it " . . . one man's truth that cries out for mass exposure . . . a unique, indelible 43-minute documentary that may be the most important and persuasive film about animals ever made. " FYI: this film does include a few graphic scenes of animals in slaughter houses and in traps. COOKING DEMO: After the film, Patti Breitman will be demonstrating simple vegan cooking techniques. If you are already vegan, this is a great night to bring your friends who are not. If you are merely curious, this is an evening packed with information and inspiration. DETAILS: The potluck will be held on June 23 from 5:30 to 8:30 at the beautiful Unitarian Church in San Rafael. Take hwy. 101 to Freitas Pkwy. (approximately 15 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge and 10 minutes north of the Richmond Brige) go north on the frontage road east of hwy. 101. Turn right on Professional Center Pkwy. turn right on Channing Way. Turn left at 240 Channing Way. Plenty of parking is available. Come early and enjoy the beautiful views and grounds.
