It's great to see we're getting more new members :-) I can't wait to see

all those intros and do the entries for the Summer Contest (smile)

 

Just wanted to remind folks - Many people are limited in their access to

email either because they are on model/dial-up, or have size limits on their

inbox. Please:

 

1) For long articles, if possible, please provide a link

2) For replies: Please clip your email responses when replying back to

someone on the list (i.e. show the relevant question or comment that you are

responding to).

This is ESPECIALLY helpful to the people on digest since that's just a

compilation of every individual message, so often times the same message is

recopied with each reply, all the little trailer messages, etc. So if

you could take a few moments to highlight and delete everything except the

relevant comment you are replying about, that would make it easier for

everyone to read your contribution to the discussion.

 

And, since summer time is vacation time, if you're going to be away for a

week or two and are receiving individual messages, you might consider

switching to the digest format or going no-mail while you are away. If you

mailbox fills up and messages from your groups list start bouncing,

groups will automatically put your membership in bounce status and

you won't receive any messages from the list at all.

 

-Switch to no-mail: -nomail

-Switch to daily digest: -digest

-Switch to individual messages: -normal
