Are you all ready for another Out-Of-This-World Vegan Camping

Experience? :-)

Hello Campers!!

We are so bitten by the camping bug following the Butano trip, that we can

think of nothing else but when and where to go with you all on the next

trip!!

Mike has been researching possible venues with a fervor. Sadly, a couple of

the options we discussed, eg Kirby Cove beside the Golden Gate Bridge, are

fully booked on weekends throughout the summer. But suddenly the answer came

to Mike in a blinding flash: The Arroyo Seco campground!! On the Lower

Arroyo Seco River!! On the edge of the Ventana Wilderness!! Mike's

enthusiasm for this beautiful river and campground knows no bounds since he

first discovered it last June, and he can't wait to rediscover it with us

all in the near future! There are tumbling cascades of water, and wonderful

swimming holes, and creek hiking!!! But that's not all!! Tammy!! There are

also beautiful hikes on land to ancient Indian caves and extraordinary

sandstone formations! And then there is also sunbathing!! Not to mention all

that delicious vegan food we are going to be celebrating!! Although....On

the subject of food, we also hope that the prospect of a trip by water where

swimsuits will be a prominent feature may encourage us to eat slightly less

and move our bodies slightly more than we did at the epicurean feast which

was the Butano trip!!!

Have we succeeded in whetting your appetites for wonderful vegan food and

breathtaking scenery and hiking/lazing around in the sun/water, as the mood

takes? We hope so!!

The campground has 46 sites and operates on a first come first served basis.

Mike was there this time last year, so he knows it's possible to get in, one

of us would just need to be there early on the Saturday morning in question.

Talking of dates, we would like to suggest Saturday, 20th July. In fact this

is the only date that Mike and I can go before the second week of September,

as we are going on a family cruise with Mike's parents followed by a trip to

England to visit my parents which will take up pretty much all the time

between the end of July and the beginning of September.

Anyhow, it would be totally great if you guys were up for another trip and

if this venue sounded good to you and if you could do Saturday, 20th July.

Why not check out the Arroyo Seco website and let us know!
