Gourmet Cooking Class with Organic Meal, Wine & Recipes - $10!

This is one of PETA's benefit auctions. Doesn't it sound yummy!? Sparks is

a wonderful restaurant. Because of its distance from the Bay Area, I've

been there only once but I truly enjoyed my meal there. A dinner with

organic wine as well as a cooking lesson - starting at $10, seems like an

incredible deal if you're in the area or up for a trek!

" Sparks Vegan Restaurant " SUMMER SCHOOL AT SPARKS! " Summer school you won't

want to end!This particular class is on July 22nd or 23rd (your choice),

from 6:00 PM to approximately 9:00 PM. Class includes lecture and discussion

time, hands-on cooking with Sparks certified chef instructors, full family

meal with a glass of organic wine, and recipes to take home. Sparks uses

only organic ingredients in all its classes. Class is valued at $65 per

person. All levels of cooking experience are welcome. Each class offers

recipes for a variety of cooking skills and situations, from simple eating

to elegant entertaining. The only prerequisite for taking any Sparks Cooking

Class: You must be willing and able to have fun. Do not leave your sense of

humor at home. Sparks cooking classes will teach you valuable basic

cooking techniques that will make you more skillful and efficient in the

kitchen no matter what you prepare. You will also learn about vegetarian

foods, nutrition, healthy cooking and eating, and alternatives to your old

favorites. The July 22nd (or 23rd) class is called " Vegan Desserts " ! Fruit

pies, cookies, cakes, brownies, puddings and of course, decadent chocolate

truffles. Don't worry, family meal for these classes will have lots of

healthy savory foods to counter-act all that sugar. Please come to class

hungry. Because you will be working in a real restaurant kitchen, wear your

hair up neatly and no sandals or open-toed shoes. If you would like to
