Guest guest
Add Garmont to that list. They have both high and low top hiking/trail shoes. You can find them at several sporting goods shops in the Bay Area, including Lombardi's, as well as in Portland and Seattle shops. You can also order them online at www.veganessentials.com. Garmont is not a newcomer on the scene, but their vegan line is more recent. Guest guest
I just got a pair of the Garmont Vegan Hiking boots. I've only worn them walking a few times, but right now I'm very pleased with them. Feel like I've had them for years. These are probably the best veggie boots I've gotten in 15 years and look pretty sturdy and hard wearing compared to my Hemp Headwater hikers that fell apart quickly. Someone posted a few weeks ago that Sierra Trading Post (www.sierratradingpost.com) had them on sale for $69 (reg price $145). So I snapped up two pairs. Thanks again Direct link to product here - http://www.sierratradingpost.com/product.asp?base%5Fno=61116 Be warned though they do run small. I'm usually an 8, but needed an 8 1/2. The people at Sierra Trading insisted they weren't, but trust me they do. I'll try and post a full review at www.generationv.org by next month when I've had a chance to wear them in a bit more.
