Temporary foster homes for cats/kittens desperately needed

Hi everybody. Besides my vegi pastimes, I have been fostering cats

for Tri-Valley Animal Rescue out of the East County Animal Shelter in

Dublin. We are in the midst of a crisis situation right now--we

basically were given an ultimatum by the shelter vet that she wants

all the under 2 pound kittens in the shelter euthanized or fostered.

This is after we pulled approximately 25 cats/kittens over the

weekend. We think this is ridiculous--this shelter is probably in

better shape than any shelter in the bay area--but as far as I can

tell right now we have little recourse to stand up to her. We

already have approx. 200 kittens in foster including 20 at my house.

So if ANYONE might be able to foster a cat or couple kittens

temporarily, please contact me. We can provide cage, food, litter,

etc. & pay for shots and neutering.
